You’re invited to a hybrid panel discussion exploring Morven’s captivating journey from Governor’s Mansion to opening as a museum in 2004.
The panel will feature speakers, representing both private and public spheres, who were essential to preserving Morven as an educational space for future generations of New Jerseyans. Join them as they share the ins and outs of navigating state politics, researching and restoring an over 200 year old house, and the challenges of garnering support to preserve one of New Jersey’s most historic sites.
Panelists include: Georgie Schley, trailblazing former President of Morven’s Board of Trustees (a position held for over twenty years); Carol Cronheim, former Assistant Secretary of State and Policy Advisor for the State of New Jersey; and Anne Gossen, Museum, Non-Profit, and Arts Consultant; former Curator of Exhibitions and Academic and Artistic Director at Morven.
Your ticket includes access to visit Morven’s newest exhibition, Morven Revealed: Untold Stories from New Jersey’s Most Historic Home, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. before the program.
This event is hybrid - held both live and online. Doors open for the in-person event at 6:00 p.m. in the Stockton Education Center. The virtual waiting room opens on Zoom at 6:00 p.m. Q&A for both live and virtual attendees will follow the talk.
A Zoom webinar link will be shared with virtual ticket holders following registration. A recording of the event will be provided following the program.
