The extra large flowers on this recently introduced ‘Friendship Sage‘ attract pollinators from late Spring to frost. Like all salvias, it is a hummingbird favorite. Spectacular nearly black calyxes hold deep purple flowers, and provide visual interest even after the flowers fade. Deer and drought resistant, ‘Amistad‘ performs best in sun, but be sure to give him plenty of space. Though it can grow over 5 feet tall in best conditions, it will stay smaller in most containers. You can’t go wrong with this Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Award of Garden Merit winner!
