Classic ‘Jersey tomato‘ this determinate variety produces several flushes of great-flavored medium sized tomatoes that rarely crack. Good disease resistant (VFA). Developed in the 1920s, it is still one of the best all-round choices for exceptional taste and productivity. A favorite among apartment and townhouse dwellers, ‘Rutgers‘ Tomato is great for patio planters and other small garden spaces with its bush habit. Indeterminate heirloom teardrop-shaped tomatoes prized for their sweet and complex flavor. These are favorites of chefs and home cooks, and fabulous for home canning and sauce.
