Join HomeFront and Morven Museum & Garden as we engage with representatives from HomeFront, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, Mercer Street Friends, Arm in Arm, Jewish Family & Children’s Service, Trenton Health Team, and the Rescue Mission of Trenton. Gain insights into the pressing challenges of hunger and poverty in our community, understand the obstacles these organizations face, and discover how collective action can make a difference in the lives of our neighbors.
Food has been a central part of Morven’s history since the home’s construction in the 1760s. People labored, harvested, and cooked to keep the property’s inhabitants fed. Today, Morven’s gardens still provide vegetables annually donated to Arm in Arm. This program will connect past and present, exploring the state of food insecurity in our communities today and how we can work together to make a difference.
This free program is offered in-person only in Morven’s Stockton Education Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
