A gem among hardy pelargoniums, with ruffled and rounded blue-gray leaves and flowers that have narrow, romantic-red-violet-black petals. The contrast of bloom and leaf colors is wonderful. Great in rock gardens or containers, or even as a groundcover along garden pathways. Its scented leaves are uninteresting to deer and rabbits, but pollinators love the blossoms. Once established it is drought tolerant and performs best in sun. Native to South Africa, it is a traditional herbal remedy that’s been in the news lately for claims of its strong antibacterial and immune boosting qualities. Can be brought indoors at frost as a house plant.
